Thank you to Brian (for making) and Brian and Martin (for fitting) our wonderful new bespoke hardwood front door in Blackheath, London. We are particularly happy with the custom design, which lets in so much light. The build quality and joinery is really good, with extra thick wood. Everything fits perfectly, and it swings shut with a solid click, just like a high end BMW (I imagine!). Good attention to security with triple locks and toughened double glazed units. Brian and Martin made a couple of initial site visits to measure up, discuss designs, and check the process for removing the old and fitting the new doors. There was a personal touch throughout, with good communication. The build was completed on time, and the fitting carried out in a day (as promised). The overall price was extremely good value compared with quotes from London companies for less high spec products. So we are very happy, and would definitely recommend Brian, Martin/ The Front Door Shop/ BD Joinery to anyone looking for a new high quality door.

  Outstanding service and a quality final product! Brian was nothing but a pleasure to deal with. He clearly comes with a wealth of experience and made various suggests to make the final result as good as it could be. We had 3 on site visits during the process to discuss the finer detail and also went to Brian's workshop to see the work in progress. Highly recommend if you get the chance! Nothing was too much for Brian - he even salvaged the stain glass from our old door and made it into a wall hanging!   The best way to describe one of Brian's handcrafted doors is a thing of beauty! He is a master Craftsman and buying one of his doors will give your house true character that you won't get with a shop bought door or the dreaded PVC door. I would really recommend that anyone considering a new door pay Brian a visit where they can see first hand how his masterpieces are constructed. You won't want to go else where for a door! Brian gave us some really good advice on the best materials for our dream door and he was also able to build it exactly to our specifications.   I contacted the Front Door Shop as well as several other specialists when I needed a replacement double front door at my house. Brian from The Front Door Shop came to my house to inspect the requirements and gave me a competetive price and timeline for the installation of some solid Oak double doors and a bespoke Oak Frame. The service I received at every step of the process was exceptional. The fit and finish of the doors and sidelights is brilliant. It is a vast improvement over the modern Aluminium doors that were previously installed. I have to mention that where Brian & The Front Door Shop really excelled was in taking on a job that 3 other specialists had declined due to the complexities of installation (basically my front door is at first floor level situated within a Porch and is reached by a set of stairs) Brian not only took on the job but there was no harm or damage to the surrounding Porch and entranceway, this is where the other specialists had concerns. It is not often, nowadays, to come across a caring and skilled craftsman who takes huge pride in his work as a skilled Joiner. I wholeheartedly recommend Brian and his team @ the Front Door Shop - thanks very much.

  We had a door and the wide surrounding frame made. Brian did all the measurements and the frame and door fitted perfectly. The finished job is of a very high standard; we are delighted with it and everyone who sees it is very impressed.

  I couldn't be more impressed with my new front door. From start to finish, the service, quality and communication was impeccable. I had spent weeks considering other providers, however there was always something missing. After speaking with Brian, I was completely reassured as he was knowledgeable and friendly. My new door is of excellent quality wood, was fitted by an expert joiner, and he left my house spotless afterwards. Definitely a service to recommend.

  Brian and his team were working on my neighbours house today and just as they were leaving he knocked on my door with a tortoise! It was lost and found under his van! They were heading off for the day and didnt know who he belonged to but were reluctant to leave it behind. It wasn't ours but we took the little thing in as he looked hungry. Turned out he was a very feisty tortoise and wanted to bite everyone! Just before Brian left he popped in to ask about the little chap and if he was eating and drinking. He wasn't as he was desperate to escape! But we agreed to help reunite him with his owner. Thankfully through the power of Facebook 'Billy' was reunited with his family who only lived 6 doors down within the hour. Apparently he's been grounded for a month ;-) thank you Brian for helping the little dude out - you no doubt saved his little life!
