Thank you to Brian (for making) and Brian and Martin (for fitting) our wonderful new bespoke hardwood front door in Blackheath, London. We are particularly happy with the custom design, which lets in so much light. The build quality and joinery is really good, with extra thick wood. Everything fits perfectly, and it swings shut with a solid click, just like a high end BMW (I imagine!). Good attention to security with triple locks and toughened double glazed units. Brian and Martin made a couple of initial site visits to measure up, discuss designs, and check the process for removing the old and fitting the new doors. There was a personal touch throughout, with good communication. The build was completed on time, and the fitting carried out in a day (as promised). The overall price was extremely good value compared with quotes from London companies for less high spec products. So we are very happy, and would definitely recommend Brian, Martin/ The Front Door Shop/ BD Joinery to anyone looking for a new high quality door.

"I researched many companies before contacting Brian. His website impressed me with the galleries of real jobs completed and testimonials. It was also clear he was a skilled craftsmen. Brian travelled from Southend to Horsham in Sussex to measure up our door as it was not an off the shelf door. I was keen to replace the UPVC door which was spoiling the look of our Victorian house. Brian was really easy to communicate with as we did not meet in person until the day of fitting. Brian went the extra mile to ensure I got the door and door furniture I wanted. I sent Brian a photo of a door I found on pinterest and it was reproduced it exactly. The door is a work of art and has brought our house back to a traditional look with high quality craftsmanship. I have had so many compliments from neighbours and friends and would recommend him highly."

I can't recommend Front door shop highly enough. Michael helped me with the design of my front door and advised on door furniture. I am extremely pleased with the result.

I had my new front door installed today, it is simply stunning, Brian is such a pleasure to deal with, he is a true professional I can’t fault his work at all and I would highly recommend! Thank you for doing such a fantastic job we are over the moon with the finish.

Highly recommend Brian! He was a pleasure to speak with, so helpful and friendly. I shopped around but he offered the best price and came highly recommended from a friend. I am beyond delighted with our bespoke door and surround, which arrived on time with all ironmongery installed.

Brian has just fitted our beautiful front door and side panels, excellent job. Brian has been brilliant right from the start.. The door looks amazing, we love it, thank you .

Brian and his team were working on my neighbours house today and just as they were leaving he knocked on my door with a tortoise! It was lost and found under his van! They were heading off for the day and didnt know who he belonged to but were reluctant to leave it behind. It wasn't ours but we took the little thing in as he looked hungry. Turned out he was a very feisty tortoise and wanted to bite everyone! Just before Brian left he popped in to ask about the little chap and if he was eating and drinking. He wasn't as he was desperate to escape! But we agreed to help reunite him with his owner. Thankfully through the power of Facebook 'Billy' was reunited with his family who only lived 6 doors down within the hour. Apparently he's been grounded for a month ;-) thank you Brian for helping the little dude out - you no doubt saved his little life!

Brian made and fitted a replacement solid oak door and frame for me in late 2018. I live at a very exposed location, on a hill, subject to the extremes of weather. In spring 2019, Brian returned to further weather-proof the door and make minor adjustments and did so again in autumn 2020. This later work was outside the terms of the guarantee but he made no quibble about returning to do it. He takes great pride in his work and achieves high quality at reasonable cost. I thoroughly recommend him to anyone who is looking for a high quality bespoke product.

So pleased with our new front door! Michael and the team were helpful from start to finish

Five years ago I found a photo of a front door and fell in love with it. When we moved house I decided I had to have the door but struggled to find a company who were confident to make it. Michael from The Front Door Shop accepted the challenge and we started the process to design the door. Throughout the process they gave me updates and drawings, came and measured and explained everything at every step. The door quality is outstanding and it was fitted beautifully. Michael attended with the fitter and the area was left clean and tidy. I would not hesitate to recommend them. The service and quality was fantastic.
